Today is Tool Tuesday! Shovel or ladder

Every Tuesday I share one of Eloheim and The Council’s tools for spiritual growth.

The choice for consciousness is challenging, but habitual response is a pit of pain.

You get a shovel or a ladder, it’s your choice to dig yourself in deeper or to climb up the ladder and out of the pit. The shovel is repeating habit, it’s you not being willing to say, “What the hell is going on here in me? Not with him, not with her, not with the boss, not with the kids, not with the bank, not with the credit card statement but within me. What is going on in me?”

“Am I going to dig myself in deeper out of fear, guilt, lack, victim hood, or am I going to put my hand on the ladder and say something has to change? And am I going to keep climbing the ladder even when my pit partners look at me and say, ‘What are you doing? Where are you going? Who do you think you are? You’re getting too big for your britches!’” and all those other lines that they might give you. The ladder isn’t just a hop. You’re so far down in these pits of habitual response that you need one of those tall ladders, but the beauty is your ladder is tall enough.

You figure it out by putting one foot in front of the other and continuing to make the choices that say, “Habit is not who I am.” Because when habit gets to tell you who you are, the scenery doesn’t change. Do you want a shovel or a ladder? We will not give you shovels. But we have loads of ladders of all different sizes, shapes, and lengths and we even know how to make them taller. So if you get dug down in there, don’t think you’re ever lost. You’re not ever lost in the pit of habit. You simply have to keep making the choice.

We’re standing there cheering you on. Just lift your foot. We know it’s challenging to break habits, but it will get easier. If you want your life to change, you need to choose and choose again to climb the ladder of consciousness.

When Eloheim first came up with this one, I was blown away. It is classic Eloheim, funny and practical. I picture them standing at the top of the hole saying, “We have ladders for you!” There is something so comforting about the image of them standing in the light looking at us down in the dark just waiting for us to reach up for the ladder they are lowering.

When dealing with a coworker who flips into hysteria/doom and gloom thinking when confronted with a problem, I find it helpful to use the Shovel (are you really sure you want to dig that great big huge hole for yourself?) / Ladder (don’t you think we might actually get a better overview of this problem from up here?) approach. I used to call this the “Take the noose off your neck and get down from that chair” maneuver. But I like shovel/ladder now because it actually offers an alternative way of thinking about the situation rather than just a plea for different behavior.

The meeting of June 29, 2011 was one of those meetings where the entire Council builds on the same subject – To live as your truth, you must acknowledge your truth, and then use conscious awareness to create the transformation you seek. We had a great time and had a large group of folks join us online. More details below:

On 6-28-2011 I was interviewed on the Channels’ Channel radio show. This interview focused on how I became a channel, what it’s like to channel, and my insights on how it helps my spiritual journey. The Guardians: Have the intention for attention! What happens if the non-distracted truth of you is in this moment? The completeness of you includes your internal acknowledgment of shadow or shame. Let the truth of you be true.

The Visionaries: Conscious awareness creates transformation it cannot do anything but! Bring the truth of you to every moment. Described what living as Homo spiritus is like. YouTube video below.

Eloheim: Revisited the 10 things, Checking things off the list, Short factual statements, and Circle of possibilities tools and spoke about alternate expressions (past/future lives). They also reminded us that ascension includes ascending all lifetimes and that ascension doesn’t mean “up” but means that your soul comes in. Re-languaged the word abundance. If thinking could have solved it, it would have solved it long ago because you sure have thought about it enough!

The Girls: If something pops up in more than one area of your life, work on those first; they aren’t the hardest thing, they are the just the loudest!

Fred: One year anniversary! Fred spoke about the lament, “I want to go home!” Reminded us that home is within. “You come home to the interior truth and validity of you.”

The Warrior: Spoke about The Council’s tools. Asked us to make a list of our three favorite tools and bring (or email) the list to next week’s meeting. If you would like to learn about The Council’s tools, please refer to our books The Choice for Consciousness and The Homo Spiritus Sessions. They said that this information would give The Council the opportunity to evaluate how the tools are being used so that they can help us more effectively.

Matriarch: Was fascinated by The Warrior’s changed role on the Council and hoped we would all participate in the “home work” assignment.

Hello everyone!
First some announcements!

The book is coming along nicely. It has been to the editor and is now back with me. I am adding the copyright page, the acknowledgments, some background information about the Council, the ISBN, and a few other things. THEN IT WILL BE READY!!!

Once that is done, I will do the additional things that are required for me to sell it on Amazon as a Kindle book and on the other ebook platforms. Things like cover art, writing the blurb (back cover copy), and getting it converted to the correct format to be read on all sorts of different devices.

The meeting of February 9, 2011 included messages from each of The Council members. The highlights for me were Eloheim taking the What is True Now? to a new level, the Warrior making it home in time for the birth, and the Girls giving us a crash course in loving ourselves.

Guardians: Opened the meeting with a request to open and clear.

Visionaries: Discussed out hold-out places of fear, and advised us on moving toward consciousness using our tools.

Eloheim: Talked about using the “I’m tempted” tool and “What is true now?” to help us change our neural pathways from fear to consciousness.

The Girls: Gave us a crash course on loving ourselves.

Warrior: Continued his story of Marianna giving birth, including the panic he feels and how he deals with it.

Fred: Checked in on our crown chakra connection to our souls’ perspectives.

Matriarch: Closed with a message of love, and suggested we take the time to notice our crown chakra connection.

Hello everyone!
Well, January 12, 2011 is a meeting we won’t soon forget! The night before, Eloheim kept me awake for over an hour telling me all about the meeting and making sure I knew just what was needed for the presentation they had planned.

This was the first time in over 8 years of weekly meetings that we didn’t sit in a circle. Everyone sat in two half-circle rows so that they could all see what Eloheim was writing.

Eloheim proceeded to outline the transition from the fear-based operating system to the consciousness-based operating system. I have included a portion of their talk in the video below.

It was very different to channel Eloheim in this ‘mode’. Typically Eloheim reads the energy of the room. This time, since they were summarizing their teachings they didn’t access the energy of the room. To me, it constantly felt like I was trying to remember something and couldn’t…for 85 minutes.

Added to the challenge was that Eloheim can get distracted by ANYTHING! Imagine keeping them on track when they were sitting in a new chair and writing on a white erase board! This just might have been the first time they ever really wrote. They did draw a picture for us once before, but an entire night of spelling and spatial orientation and all that…..never before.

I’m right here doing a compare U2U and I’m just going to say it, this would have been impossible not that long ago.

Making something hard look easy once again. 🙂

The whiteboard meeting! Eloheim planned a special presentation for the meeting. The other Council members did not interact verbally in this meeting. Eloheim used a whiteboard to outline the transition from the fear-based operating system to the consciousness-based operating system, and explaining the tools we use to make our transition while creating the presentation.

The meeting of October 13, 2010 was very interesting. The Visionaries continued the discussion of a new relationship to triggers. I have included their comments in the video below.

Eloheim went on to share a new way of looking at the moment.

There is a very thin walkway between fantasy and over thinking. Neither one of those states is going to give you a connection to the moment. There is something that makes the moment uncomfortable or you would be in the moment.

We keep a keen eye on the aspects of ourselves that need transformation.

Hello everyone,
We had a wonderful event on 10-10-10. It started off with a potluck which always delights Eloheim.

The meeting began with an introduction by The Visionaries. Eloheim answered questions and ended the meeting by introducing a new tool: The Strongest Chakra.

I have received multiple emails about this new tool and how powerfully it is already working in people’s lives. It sure is helping me!

This week’s video is a review of the tool: Short Factual Statements. Eloheim feels this is the most powerful tool they have given us recently and this is a great review of how it works.

The meeting of the 16th included discussion and examples of using the Short Factual Statements tool. SFS is proving to be a powerful tool! The YouTube video focuses on another tool, Script Holding. It has been some time since Eloheim reviewed Script Holding. I like the way they tied it into Short Factual Statements.

6-16-10 ~ 85 minutes
Eloheim: An intense review of the usage of short, factual statements, using examples from members of the group covering guilt, boundaries, and jealousy.

Also an overview and discussion of script-holding and grace, ease, and bliss/serenity.

Visionaries: Allow the truth of the short, factual statement to settle into your body rather than just spend a bunch of time spinning in your head. It s a real thing you re doing and you re really creating from that position. The tool may feel intellectual at the start, but getting to the real you in it is important. You are creating consciousness in your life by looking at things consciously.

The Girls: Creating consciousness requires you to experience yourself in a new way; part of experiencing yourself in a new way is being disciplined about how you allow yourself to critique yourself during the use of these new tools. Do not be mean to yourself

Warrior: As you walk along a new path [use a new tool], you start out a bit wobbly. Do not fear, because the more you walk the path the more stable you become on your legs with it.

Wow, there is a lot going on. Today, I have the summary of the 6-2-10 meeting, a new cartoon, and updates about the Next Top Spiritual Author contest. Let’s do them in reverse order!

The Next Top Spiritual Author contest — Round 2.

Round one of the contest saw 2800 entries reduced to 271. We must be in the top 25 to advance to round 3 at the end of June. There were only supposed to be 250 authors advancing to round 2, but the bottom 25 authors HAD THE SAME NUMBER OF VOTES! I guess what they say is true, every vote does count.

We spent the last few weeks preparing our round 2 entry and voting for round 2 is now live! I am almost up to date with the newsletters!

Last week was a very powerful session. Eloheim perceived a new ‘portal’ and passed the baton over to the Visionaries to explain it. The Visionaries explained it all in CLASSIC Visionaries fashion (which means that I barely get to breathe as they say so many words in such a short time.) I included their entire section in the video clip. Here are some quotes from the Visionaries:

You have a different opportunity of experiencing you now.

You have desired this opportunity and it has arrived.

The moment is the only place I want to live. I experience myself completely only as I experience myself experience the moment.

Addiction to the past and the future is a bad habit that you are ready to set aside. It is a play thing of children. It is not for the adults on the spiritual journey. The past and the future really are empty calories. It is not the place where you can actually experience yourself.

The remainder of the meeting has the entire Council speaking about this portal. I have included a bit of Eloheim’s contribution in the video as well.

Eloheim, Visionaries: A portal has opened to the version of you that has made peace with the truth. The time has come when you can be the person who lives in the human form and doesn’t hide from the truth of you.

Girls: It will be very challenging for you to love your complete self if you can’t love the parts of you that you don’t like.

Warrior: Allow the illumination of your soul’s insight to light up the dark places within you. When the dark places are illuminated, look and see what you find.
